On the exterior of this project, we removed the existing breezeway and replaced it with a new structure faced with brick matching the original home. The new entry has been relocated and a new stepped pathway installed.
In the back, the bump-out housing the original dinette was removed and swinging French doors provide a path to the reworked patio. A new sliding French door with sidelights installed in the renovated breezeway allow for another circulation path as well as plenty of light to enter the new space.
Above this area is a second floor addition containing a new master bathroom and closet. A twin-sink vanity, tile flooring and a large shower with sliding glass door create a luxurious bath for our homeowners. Altogether, this project won a Wisconsin Remodelors Silver Award.
