For this remodeling project, we removed a wall separating the kitchen from an adjacent screened-in breezeway area between the home and the garage. By converting the breezeway into new interior space containing a small family room and dinette, we were able to relocate the range and microwave to a new central island that also features a tall breakfast bar. New white painted Dura Supreme cabinetry with inset doors are a close match to the existing cabinets. New Silestone Kona Beige countertops were installed over both the new and older cabinetry.
The expanded living space includes a new fireplace, and new oak hardwood flooring was installed to match the original. New stainless steel appliances and new lighting help make this kitchen a bright and open place for friends and family to gather while meals are being prepared.
