The larger kitchen was given a completely new look using cherry Dura Supreme cabinetry, and a stone-finish laminate for the new counters and island top provide a multiple surfaces for meal preparation. New built-in pantries and additional cabinetry at the island creates generous new storage capacity. A new oak hardwood floor matches the original flooring, and a multi-piece crown molding, tile backsplash and a few glass cabinet doors add to the old-world charm of this kitchen.
A new dinette adjacent to the kitchen houses a small table for informal dining, and new windows allow natural light to flood the space. At the rear entry, a new mudroom provides cubbies, coat hooks and a maple bench in the closet area to store the children's backpacks, coats and boots. A durable tile floor in this area allows for easy clean-up during inclement weather.
